Hi, I’m Bushra!

I'm a San Francisco-based Sr. Product Manager with a sensitivity for creating thoughtful social interfaces that focus on friendship, connection, and attention.

My expereince includes:

• launching a group-friendship web product from 0 to 1 at Airtime, a Sean Parker company whose goal was to enable meaningful relationships beyond FB and Instagram;

• efforts to spread discovery and booking for a wider range of unique spaces at Peerspace, thus promoting a stronger “middle class”

Currently, I’m helping with Zyka, a nutritional scanner app for ultra-processed ingredients in everyday food items

My deepest view is a writerly sensibility that all human voices are works of art as a birthright. Our human words can soothe, dispel fear and loneliness, create events, and make beautiful things in ways that are unique to us. As part of that focus, my orientation is an inquiry into the development of a tender authorial intent.

I have a BA in English Literature, with a minor in Religious Studies from UNC Chapel Hill. I later completed my JD at Elon University School of Law.

If I could keep only one book with me, it would be my copy of Neal Stephenson’s The Diamond Age.
