Hi, I’m Bushra 👋

I'm a San Francisco-based Senior Product Manager with ~5 years of experience, building products that nurture attention, long-lasting friendships, community, and well-being. I believe technology ought to discover and magnify the beauty and tenderness of the human spirit.

Currently, I’m doing Product at Zyka, a nutrition label scanner app that enables people to identify ultra-processed ingredients in everyday food items to prevent chronic disease. Past highlights include:

• Growing Peerspace Instant Book from ~9.5% of listings to ~30% of bookings, driving $5.2M+ GMV.

• Launching a watch party app for Sean Parker’s Airtime, a social research lab facilitating lasting online friendships over long-form media (Fig 1. X screenshot).

• Being named by Marc Andreessen in Business Insider’s "55 Unknown Rock Stars in Tech" (2014).

For fun, you’ll find me reading Neal Stephenson’s The Diamond Age, musing on Alan Kay’s vision for dignifying the human imagination, or designing floral arrangements.
