Hi, I’m Bushra 👋

I'm a San Francisco-based Sr. Product Manager with 5+ years of experience, building products that nurture attention, long-lasting friendships, community, and well-being. I believe technology ought to discover and magnify the beauty and tenderness of the human spirit.

Currently, I’m doing product ops at Zyka, a nutrition label scanner app that enables people to identify ultra-processed ingredients in everyday food items to prevent chronic disease. Past highlights include:

• Growing Instant Book adoption at Peerspace to ~25% of all bookings in its first quarter (from newly activated listings), driving over $5.2M in GMV.

• Launching a watch party app for Sean Parker’s Airtime, a social research lab facilitating lasting online friendships over long-form media (Fig 1. X screenshot).

• Being named by Marc Andreessen as one of 55 Unknown Rockstars in Tech.

For fun, you’ll find me reading Neal Stephenson’s The Diamond Age, musing on Alan Kay’s vision for dignifying the human imagination, or designing floral arrangements.
